Mid-year Admissions Broomfield Primary School

The opportunity to transfer to Broomfield Primary School depends upon places being available in the relevant year group.  You should not remove your child from their current school before securing a place at your preferred school.  It is recommended that you speak to your child’s current headteacher before applying and also contact us before submitting your application.

If you would like to transfer your child to Broomfield Primary School you will need to complete an application form.  Please use the link below (paper copies are available on request) and send to the following email address: admin@broomfield.essex.sch.uk Applications for transfer will not normally be determined until the half term prior to the requested admission date for example, If you would like your child to start school in January, you can apply from October.  If you would like your child to start school in September you can apply from June.

Once your application is submitted, we will email you with a decision within 15 school days.  Please make sure you provide us with an email address and telephone number with which to contact you.  We may ask you to provide proof of address or other evidence to show that your child is resident in the UK.

If you are refused a place it is because the school is fully subscribed in the relevant year group.  You will be given the right to appeal with an independent appeal panel.  For more information about this go to www.essex.gov.uk/topic/admissions . Appeals should be lodged within 20 days of the refusal letter.

Requests to be placed on the waiting list must be made in writing to the school.
