Broomfield Primary School is a very welcoming, happy and successful school. We have a very dedicated staff, with a strong team approach. At the heart of our ethos is our emphasis on ‘The Broomfield Way – 6Rs Approach’, teaching children to develop skills for life. This philosophy supports pupils to become Responsible and Respectful individuals, whilst guiding them to become independent learners who are Ready, Reflective, Resourceful and Resilient. These core values underpin all we do in school and feed into our classroom ethos, weekly assemblies and whole school targets.

It is our aim to promote a safe, secure and stimulating learning environment, which enables children to develop both socially, emotionally, morally and academically. We value home school partnerships and share the responsibility with parents for educating our pupils, encouraging regular communication and open dialogue.

The school has very strong community links, a supportive Governing Body and a flourishing P.T.A.. We are a member of the River Chelmer Primary Partnership and work in collaboration with the local primary schools that feed into Chelmer Valley High School.
