THE RIVER CHELMER PRIMARY PARTNERSHIP
The River Chelmer Primary Partnership is a consortium of eight local primary schools which include:
Boreham
Broomfield
Great Leighs
Great Waltham
Little Waltham
Newlands Spring
St Pius X
The primary schools are also joined by Chelmer Valley High School, to form The River Chelmer Partnership. All schools are also members of the Chelmsford Teaching School Alliance.
Headteachers and Deputy Headteachers meet together on a half termly basis to discuss initiatives and to lead on school improvement, with particular reference to teaching and learning. Subject Leaders also meet throughout the year to monitor their subjects, share good practice and undertake moderation activities. attend an annual Cluster Conference in Aldeburgh, which provides an invaluable opportunity to reflect on standards across our schools, best-practice, research and current educational thinking, as well as planning for the new academic year. During the year, we also divide into smaller groups to undertake school reviews and evaluate school practice, with the aim of providing effective school improvement.
Pupils from across the partnership schools have the opportunity to take part in a range of ‘Enrichment Activities’, giving them the chance to work with staff and pupils from other schools. Activities to date have included:

Dance
Forest Schools
English Mastery
Maths Mastery
Religious Education
Science
Pupils also participate in a Poetry Competition and Quiz on an annual basis.
